Have looked long and hard for a french roast in both regular and decaf and found them here. Both are great. Usually we do a 50/50 mix in the morning in a Bunn 10 cup drip coffee maker. We buy the whole beans and grind them with a kitchen aid coffee grinder set about a 5.5. Works perfectally for us

I'm always satisfied with your product! I know if, at the last minute, I order your coffee...at holiday times, I can unpack it grind it, brew and serve it without any doubts of it being an outstanding cup of coffee!

Usually buy the Sumatra. Thought I give the French Roast a try. The Sumatra has a much richer coffee flavor and more body.

I've drank more dark roast coffees than I can count and this one, when I opened the bag, looked to be the lightest in colour of any of them. But for the most part it certainly tastes like a dark roast. Strong dark chocolate flavors with a touch of nuttiness at the end. Definitely not mild in flavour, but lacking the super robust, oily, almost thick taste of darker dark roasts. Basically, a more mild version of a dark roast, but certainly not in a bad way.

The roast is perfect. I immediately store it it a vacuum cannister so that it stays as fresh as it was when it arrives. I only use a bur grinder and find it has a wonderful flavor at medium grind in my press, drip and k-cup. I also add some ground chickory when I want Cafe Au Lait!
