This French roast is 8/10 good. Not so sure about the key-terms. For me this coffee is bold, strong, good flavor but this is not my boldest, strongest nor greatest flavor. PS. I use 4 portions of coffee beans (smooth grind) for 2 shorts.

I have found that coffees are very personal insofar as preferences for roast, flavor, etc. Although I would have liked more ""dark"", that does NOT mean this was a bad coffee or improperly described. Try it and see for yourself.

It’s not super dark. No bitterness or anything. Just a simple coffee to share. I drink it black.

Could not believe how fast the shipping was. Ordered on Thursday and FedEx knocked on door Saturday before noon. Made some afternoon coffee, great!

We always wake up to a fresh ground cup of your French roast coffee...it doesn't get any fresher or consistently flavorful than this!

I've drank more dark roast coffees than I can count and this one, when I opened the bag, looked to be the lightest in colour of any of them. But for the most part it certainly tastes like a dark roast. Strong dark chocolate flavors with a touch of nuttiness at the end. Definitely not mild in flavour, but lacking the super robust, oily, almost thick taste of darker dark roasts. Basically, a more mild version of a dark roast, but certainly not in a bad way.

French roast good flavor and body. bought house blend to do a 50/50. I think for my taste and your coffees, 75%frenchroast and 25% house blend will come closer. Prices [...] reasonableThanks
