What struck me was that their was no ""Best if Used before"" date although there was a place for one at the top of the bag. I got the impression that the beans were beyond their best date, given weak aroma. Overall, I would say that it is a ""nice-enough"" coffee.

Overall this is a very good coffee. For some reason it doesn't agree with my palate. I normally drink Lavazza but decided to change to a locally roasted bean. Everyone that I have shared it with loves it. It has great aroma and produces a wonderful crema. Generally smooth but the finish does not work for me. I would still definitely recommend to friends.

Used this for over a year now for espresso plus pour-overs and will continue using it as it's 'the best I've found'. For espresso, I grind with a Vario Baratza and produce shots with a Breville BES900XL/B Dual Boiler Espresso machine at 9 bar. For the pour-over, I use a combination of 1:2 ratio San Marco to Starbucks French Roast. Both, absolutely outstanding!!

I love a traditional Italian espresso roast and this hits the mark. Not over roasted and oil but dark enough to be smoky and rich. I'll be back for more. Good job!

We have an automatic espresso machine and use these beans exclusively. Tried others, but always come back. Wish there was a one pound package of whole bean with a buy more/save more option. Even my Mom is hooked on your product! Thank you so much

I prepared this coffee on a Breville espresso machine and the result was outstanding. I ordered a bag of Lavazza Super Crema Espresso and the difference is obvious: San Marcos is fresher, more aromatic, much more flavor, more balanced. If you want a good coffee bean you have to order it from your local roaster and San Marcos is the way to go if you live in the Carolinas. I'm ready to place another order

I have used San Marco whole bean espresso almost exclusively for many years. When I have ventured out to try another roaster's beans, I have never found a competitive product.
