The taste is great in everyway. However the coffee wasn't ground well. I clearly see uneven sizes in the grains. I would be thrilled to try it again if it had an even and fine grind.

We've been buying San Marco espresso for over 10 years. It is the best around. It is a perfect blend, roasted exactly right to create a true Italian 100% arabica espresso. Note that if you want to use a Moka or some other rinky-dink steam-driven coffee maker, don't bother. You will just ruin a good bean. This coffee shows its stuff when you run it through a proper 9-bar, pump-driven bar-type espresso machine. Expobar is a good one.

What struck me was that their was no ""Best if Used before"" date although there was a place for one at the top of the bag. I got the impression that the beans were beyond their best date, given weak aroma. Overall, I would say that it is a ""nice-enough"" coffee.
